Welcome to St Melyd Golf Club

Below a wooded hillside above the town of Prestatyn in Denbighshire, North Wales. St Melyd Golf Club is a mature parkland course with tree lined fairways and excellent greens. The Club is only some ten minutes from the A55 arterial expressway with Manchester and Liverpool within an hour's drive and Chester only thirty miles away.
If you wish to break up your journey to Snowdonia, why not stop and play at St Melyd Golf Course. Snowdonia and Anglesey are only an hour away. Zipworld Snowdonia, Bounce below Snowdonia and Surf Snowdonia are also within easy reach. Why not also visit Gwrych Castle to see where I'm a celebrity, Get me out of here was televised. It is only 20 minutes away towards Snowdonia.
Founded in 1922, St Melyd is a 9 hole course, but having 18 tees, it provides a different perspective for each hole as can be seen from our hole by hole guide. The Course provides a challenge for golfers of all abilities who can be assured it is always presented in the best possible condition.
The Club provides a warm welcome to members, holiday golfers and golfing societies alike in the spacious clubhouse with stunning views over the course towards distant Snowdonia. The well appointed club lounge, members lounge and excellent restaurant caters for all tastes from bar snacks to celebration banquets catering for up to 120 guests. Recently a snack bar and alcoholic bar have been erected in the grounds. Drinks can be consumed in purpose built sheds or pods nearby. The Club promotes visitors who cycle, walk or jog along the old railway line that passes through the course from Prestatyn to Dyserth.  Offa's Dyke ( Welsh: Clawdd Offa) is a large linear earthwork that roughly follows the border between England and Wales. The structure is named after Offa, the Anglo-Saxon king of Mercia from AD 757 until 796, who is traditionally believed to have ordered its construction passes the course on the hill above the course.
